Y. G. Shoresh began telling stories on the stage, then moved into film & animation, creating “Lights” – the first animated export from Israel to run as a Holiday Special on the NBC Television Network, the ABC Network, and The Disney Channel. YG then founded a start-up that grew to deliver more prime-time animation for broadcast and cable networks than any company in the world.
To create The City of a Great King series YG turned to Hebrew and Aramaic texts unknown to most readers, offering a telling of the Exodus story that is both a gripping epic and surprisingly touching to modern readers.
YG also earned a PhD from the School of Education, New York University, and has taught at several universities, but promises not to let that spoil the thrill of a great story told well.
